Dry, Dry, Dry

 Poor old Einar had to work again, but the rest of us were Off to the zoo! We were leaving at eleven so most of us had plenty of time to chill, bathe, prepare. Some left it till the last minute. We all piled into one car, Misty too. She was allowed. Yay! The Cotswold Wildlife Park was our destination, about 50 mins away, but that passed really quickly with arguments and wisecracks galore. As we arrived the sun was shining gloriously, proving a quandary regarding coats/not coats. The CWP is a beautifully landscaped zoo with a few big animals and lots of little ones. Misty was very worried by the Giant Tortoise and barked at it. The rest of the animals she wasn’t bothered by at all, even the Lion! Vicky had taken her camera and got lots of great shots.

We had lunch at the cafe under the shadow of a large giraffe, surrounded by screaming children and a herd of brownies. The little ones were particularly enamoured of a very naughty child, Dottie, and her uncouth mother.

It turns our we didn’t need our coats. It was lovely all day. The return journey passed just as quickly. Then for tea, we had a barbecue using the owners gas one. 

The evening was spent quizzing and watching the football, (Yay!) before retiring to bed.
